Thing Gillian never told us
As I write this, I have the overwhelming urge to take an island hopping trip across the South Pacific. Have you ever dreamed about that? Well one of these days, that dream will become a reality. I have every intention of abandoning everything for a year or so and taking in the scenery down there. Just have a look at these photos of such places as New Caledonia, Tahiti and Somoa.

In Samoa, I sat at King Fai Vai's right at dinner. His daughter sat opposite me with a fan to keep flys off my turkey.
And don't forget: To petition another for a favor or kindness, tuck a $1 bill under the pull tab of a Coke (and I'm not kidding here)
Is that where the phrase "share a Coke and a smile" came from?
